This calendar generator draws a clean monthly calendar or a whole year of twelve mini months for any year from 1900 to 2199. You can start weeks on Sunday or Monday, show ISO 8601 week numbers, mark US federal holidays on the dates they are observed, and highlight today. The print button produces a plain black-and-white page with the controls removed, so it works as a free printable calendar for a fridge, a desk, or a planning wall. It is meant for anyone who wants a quick calendar without a template download, and for planners who need to see weekends, holidays, and week numbers at a glance.
For a given month the tool finds the weekday of the first day with JavaScript's local Date object, pads the first row to the chosen week start, and lays out the days in rows of seven, adding only as many rows as the month needs (four to six). Week numbers follow ISO 8601: the week containing the row's Thursday, with week 1 being the week that contains January 4. Holidays come from the US federal rules: fixed dates shifted to Friday or Monday when they fall on a weekend, floating Monday holidays such as Memorial Day and Labor Day, and Thanksgiving on the fourth Thursday of November. Everything is computed as local calendar dates so time zones never shift a day.
US, Canadian, and Japanese calendars traditionally start on Sunday; ISO 8601 and most of Europe, Asia, and Latin America start on Monday. Pick whichever matches how you plan. The week-number column is unaffected because ISO week numbers are always defined by Monday-to-Sunday weeks, and this tool labels each row with the ISO week of its Thursday.
The eleven US federal holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth (from 2021), Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Each appears on its observed date, so when July 4 falls on a Saturday the calendar marks Friday, July 3. State holidays, religious observances, and holidays in other countries are not included.
Click Print calendar, or use your browser's print command. The print stylesheet hides the controls and page furniture and prints the calendar in black and white. For the year view choose landscape orientation in the print dialog; the month view fits a portrait page. Turn off headers and footers in the dialog for a cleaner sheet.
A 31-day month that begins on the sixth or seventh day of the week (for example, a Saturday when weeks start on Sunday) needs six rows to show every date. A 30-day month starting on the last day of the week also needs six. February needs only four rows when it has 28 days and begins on the first day of the week, which happened in February 2026 with a Sunday start.
